About the Founder
Mr. Benjamin Addoquaye Pappoe
Coneb Ltd was born out of vision, courage, and deep industry expertise. Its founder, the late Mr. Benjamin Addoquaye Pappoe, had spent years at the Ghana Supply Commission, where he honed his knowledge of importation and supply. By 1982, he was ready to take a bold step—leaving behind stability to build something of his own that he could pass down to future generations.
That leap of faith soon paid off. Mr. Pappoe secured a landmark partnership with Dresser Wayne, the world’s leading manufacturer of fuel pumps and accessories, becoming the sole distributor of its products in Ghana. This marked the beginning of Coneb’s strong presence in the petroleum solutions industry. But he did not stop there.
With a keen eye for opportunity, he recognized a growing need for reliable maintenance of fuel dispensers. In response, he expanded Coneb’s operations, establishing an engineering division dedicated to the installation and servicing of Wayne fuel pumps—laying the foundation for the company’s long-term growth.
More than a businessman, Mr. Pappoe was a builder of people. He believed in legacy and invested deeply in mentoring his team, preparing them to carry the company forward.
Today, over four decades since its founding, Coneb Ltd continues to thrive. Seven years after his passing, the company remains in the family, now led by his daughters, with his firstborn, Elaine Pappoe, at the helm—carrying forward his vision with strength and purpose.
Our Story
Coneb was founded by the late Mr Benjamin Addoquaye Pappoe who had previously worked with Ghana Supply Commission until 1979 and acquired a lot of expertise in the importation and supply industry.
In 1982, he acquired a contract from DRESSER WAYNE (the world’s leading manufacturer of fuel pumps and accessories) and became the sole distributor of its products in Ghana. Several years on following the great success of the trading division, Mr Pappoe sought to expand Coneb. Luckily, he had identified a major gap in the market – an increased demand for top notch maintenance of fuel dispensers.
Since its inception 42 years ago, Coneb Ltd remains a top choice for companies in the petroleum solutions industry in Ghana.
Seven years after he graciously passed away, Coneb Ltd has undergone a smooth transition of ownership to his four competent daughters. Coneb also continues to thrive and grow exponentially under the leadership of his first born daughter, Elaine Naa Aku Shika
Pappoe.
